A family run plant nursery on the outskirts of East Grinstead
Originally a Victorian kitchen garden for the local Manor House the site was used to provide fruit and vegetables for the owners of the manor. With a number of glasshouses, including a Melon House, the Victorian gardeners cultivated the land for a number of years
When the land came up for sale in 1961 the Styles family bought the land to grow fruit and vegetables for their greengrocers business on the Holtye Road. When the supermarkets arrived and the greengrocer trade diminished the family started selling the plants they were growing from the nursery you see today.
Find out how the nursery grew to be what it is today growing thousands of plants for it’s customers every year and providing helpful advice and guidance to budding gardeners in the local area.
