Gardening requires medium into which to grow plants, mulches to prevent weed growth and hold in moisture and aggregates to aid drainage or add a decorative topping. We’ve got a selection for each need and we also have the expertise to help you choose the right product.

Composts

As has been widely publicised in recent years, the use of peat products come with a high cost to the environment.

We are transitioning to peat free in as many lines as possible this year, ahead of the official 2024 deadline.

We have a fantastic supply of peat free mediums for pots or baskets and soil improvers for the ground.

Coupled with this, we would like to discourage customers from over purchasing and potentially wasting valuable resources. This is why we have decided to reduce our compost multibuy offers and sell our products at a competitive single bag price (which actually work out slightly cheaper than perceived multibuy deals).

Don’t forget those specialist mixes. Not every plant wants the same type of compost so if you’ve got an Azalea you’ll need Ericaceous or growing some Tomatoes, then a Growbag would be the compost of choice.

Bark & Grit

Whether it’s for decoration, weed supressing or as a soil improver you can find a product for each need. We have different styles of ornamental bark depending on it’s use alongside composted bark which is a fantastic soil conditioner for acid loving plants.

We stock a range of horticultural aggregates mainly suitable for adding drainage or as a top-dressing to containers or the ground. They are available in handy bags if you only need a small amount, or larger bags for bigger projects.
